The card is available at a one-time cost of $1.00. The card must then be encoded with monetary value by depositing $1, $5, $10, or $20 in the dispensing machines. The cards are reusable. There is also a one time use card available from the Cashier's Office and the McGregor Memorial Conference Center for $1.00. These cards can be obtained via Internal Requisition and Inter-Account Bill (IRB) form 108A,(refer to APPM section 1.4, Internal Billing) to be used by guests of the university. The McGregor Memorial Conference Center requires a cash payment.

Visitor Parking

Visitors fall into two broad categories; those who arrive on campus with definite appointments and are expected by someone associated with the university (includes conference participants). These visitors can be accommodated in the guest and visitor parking lot on W. Palmer, the lot on Warren and 4th, in metered spots about the campus, in any student area (a parking card is required for exiting), or by prior arrangement in an as signed area by securing a Temporary Parking Permit, form 3402,from the Parking Office.

The second category of visitor is probably broader and includes prospective students, concert goers, library users, alumni, interested citizens, etc. These people are eligible for the guest and visitor parking lots, or they may use the student parking facilities which have free entrance. A parking card is required and can be obtained at locations described above. Minimum cost is $1.00 for the reusable card and $1.00 for minimum encoding.

There is also metered parking about the campus and privately owned parking facilities at the south end of campus. On weekends, special events can be accommodated by reserving one of the surface lots for the prescribed fee.

Eligible Students (for assigned parking)

Handicapped students can obtain assigned parking from the Office of Educational Resources for Students with Disabilities.

Students in Medicine and Pharmacy and Allied Health can purchase assigned parking as available.

Graduate Assistants are eligible for assigned parking as available.
