5.5.1 Consultants for Architectural Engineering Services

POLICY

Selection is based on consultant's expertise and experience relating to a particular project, ability to meet the project's schedule, insurance, and equal opportunity compliance. Architectural and engineering contracts, the cost of which are essentially fixed by the State, may be awarded on the basis of specialized experience and strength among the firms which indicate a desire to do business with the university. (Reference Governors Statute 2.81.01.)

  1. Obtain Application for Professional Service Consultant from Facilities Planning and Management (FPM).

  2. Complete and return to FPM.

  1. Review application.

  2. Forward copy to Community Relations for verification of Certificate of Compliance or Awardability.

Community

  1. Review and verify information on Application Relations for Professional Service Consultant.

  2. Send notification of qualification, including certification award period, to FPM.

FPM

  1. Notify applicant(s) retained.
