3.3.6 Leave Of Absence


The university recognizes two types of leave of absence, a leave with pay, full or partial, and a leave without pay. Union agreements or the Personnel Manual for All Non represented Personnel should be consulted for specific rules regarding eligibility, length of leave and benefits.

If return rights are the responsibility of the Employing Unit, budget stays in the position. If it is a university responsibility, an assignment is made to a leave group position with a Corporation Status of Leave Without Pay. Base salary is updated in the case of contract settlement during the leave.
